Villa La Chesnoy is a traditional stone built Provençal villa, recently renovated by the owners, close to the lovely town of Grasse, centre of the perfume industry. "La Chesnoy" is ancient local dialect meaning "The Oak Grove".  In accordance with the name, you will find ancient shade trees, as well as oak beams, furniture, and accents throughout the house and garden.  It has 3000m² land, large pool and separate pool house, with extensive lovely views across the valley to the sea.  The gardens are mature with pretty terraces, trees, shrubs and flowers.

The villa is approached by a drive, shared by another villa which has access half way down.  There is parking at the bottom of the drive.  The top level terrace outside the front of the villa is gravelled.  The main access through a beautiful old solid wood front door takes you through to an entrance hall and descending staircase.

From the entrance hall to the left you go through a room which can be an extra sitting room or fourth bedroom with a single bed and fitted wardrobes. On from this room is the Master bedroom suite with windows overlooking the garden and view.  This has Queen size canopy bed,  and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower attachment, WC, bidet, and basin.

Again from the hallway there is an office with solid oak desk and bookshelves.  Through the office is a pretty double bedroom with a 190cm double bed, fitted wardrobes.  This bedroom opens onto a private terrace with extensive views, and a hand made glass mosaic table and two wrought iron chairs.  The en-suite bathroom has 90cm shower cubicle, WC and basin and a separate access to the outside front terrace.

An oak trim curved staircase takes you from the upper level down to the ground floor living area.  The large lounge/dining room is open plan with central working fireplace and oriental silk rugs throughout.  The dining section nearer the kitchen has 2.5m wood table and chairs and the lounge area on the far side is furnished with comfortable sofas, coffee table, and book shelves.  There is a large TV with Sky satellite, DVD player and full sound stereo system, CD player etc.  The whole of the living/dining areas has panoramic glass doors opening out onto the terrace with sweeping stone steps leading to the rest of the garden and pool.

From the dining area, you enter a fully equipped kitchen with large gas cooking range, a separate electric oven/microwave, small fridge, dishwasher and double sink. From the kitchen a door leads to the outside covered terrace dining area, with large oak table and chairs, built in BBQ and a sink.  Separate WC off the kitchen.

Accessible by French doors from the garden is an independent laundry room, with washing machine, drier, sink and ironing facilities.

The third bedroom is also on the ground floor, off the lounge area.  This bedroom and Moroccan themed en-suite bathroom are very romantic with Queen sized bed, fitted wardrobes and French doors opening onto a quiet lawned area overlooking the ancient oak trees that give the villa its name.  A window on the other wall overlooks the garden and view of the valley.  The en-suite bathroom has a separate tiled shower cubicle and basin and an independent WC and basin.

Outside on a lower level is the 10 x 5m swimming pool.  Poolside seating for six includes chairs, sun loungers, small tables and a large parasol.  An outdoor bar and dining area by the pool is paved and covered including dining table and benches, large fridge, and sink.  There is also a shower and WC on this level by the pool.  The garden has many individual areas and terraces to enjoy.

Refundable minimum security deposit of £500 required.
